Medical Mission Enlightens the World

Philanthropy is an act of kindness and an expression of sympathy towards other especially those who are in need. It is indeed considered to be an innate attribute of men. But, how can we express such goodness, by means of giving donations, by becoming a volunteer? Let us find out.

In our everyday life, we meet new people as we go out in our homes, as we walk along the streets. We meet people of all ages, people from different races, and people with different lives. But of all these people, can you point out who among them really caught up your attention? Some would say, “Men and women who were well dressed”, “Men and women bejeweled with beautiful jewelries”, but there is more, “The people in rags.” Yes, all the answers were correct, but the most stunning of all is the people in rags, the poor. Why? Though they do not have beautiful dresses and shining jewelries, but they have the faces enlightened not with happiness but with sadness, with hardships in life.

These people are the people who really need to be given the importance, the attention. That is why many philanthropist, people with kind hearts, non-religious and non-profit organizations around the world have united to give the less fortunate the things that they really need, to know more about their lives, and to lend them a helping hands.
Medical mission in particular is the most common thing that these benevolent are doing. They go to deprived communities to conduct such service since they are aware that most of the people there cannot afford to have proper medication. Nowadays, many blessed people are joining charitable organizations and becoming members because they think that it is the best way to help. Through medical mission they can have the time to know more not only the medical and health care needs, but also the real scenario in the lives of the poor. It also gives them the time to think for themselves that they are more blessed so they should be thankful for it.

The spirits of brotherhood, the enduring love towards others, and the passion to serve are the best elements in enlightening not only the faces of the poor, but also the world with happiness. Always remember that goodness and kindness can be expressed in any ways and in any forms. Let us help build a perfect world for everyone. Let us enlighten it!
