Health Education and Outreach Program Solve the Misfortunes of the Poor

As the world population rapidly grows, the number of less fortunate people also increases. People who are victims of a malady called “poverty”. It is a disease that slowly kills their light of hope to survive and a curse that makes them futile in the society. It is indeed a great burden to them.

Nowadays, as poverty started to become a serious threat, many non-religious and non-profit organizations around the world are now having their plans and actions on how to stop such problem. Since they can observe that many people especially the poor are now having so many hardships because of poverty. The primary objective of these philanthropic organizations is to help the poor by means of health education and outreach program. They go to deprived communities and identify the needs of its people. Usually, they perform medical missions and other health care related services through the help of their volunteers for the reason that not all the poor can afford to undergo proper medications. Aside from this, they also conduct free livelihood trainings so that the poor can make use of their skills and for them to prove that they are not useless. In addition, they educate the people from impoverished communities about the importance of practicing good health. “The greatest wealth in this world is Health”, that is why they are doing these kind acts.

Their life-altering services, the health education and outreach program, the livelihood programs, and the trainings are proofs that a man has an inborn love for his fellow. We should be proud that in spite of all the problems and the hardships that we are facing now, there are still concerned citizen with kind hearts existing in this world, people who are willing to share their blessings by means of voluntary and philanthropic services. Thanks to these people because the misfortunes of the poor that have been a great burden are now lessen. A new door of chance has been opened for them and a new light of hope has now been shining leading them into a more happy and comfortable life. Though it is not as perfect as the life that they are dreaming, what is important is there is a big change that happened in their lives. They can now smile without having any worries, and they can now have the freedom to express themselves.
